On Thursday, November 23rd, 2023, the Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu, released the KCPE results. This year, over 1.4 million students participated in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) across 28,000 examination centers. The early release of results, in line with the Education Ministry’s promise, brings good news ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Students who worked diligently can now discover their performance, allowing both students and parents to plan for the next academic year starting in January. To access your child’s results via SMS, parents can send the KCPE index number, followed by “KCPE” (e.g., 04107205005KCPE), to 40054 at a cost of Ksh 25 per SMS.
For those preferring a result slip, follow these steps on the KNEC Portal:
- Visit https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/.
- Click the “KCPE Results” tab.
- Choose the exam year.
- Enter the student’s index number.
- Click “Submit.”
