Few hours are remaining before Brian is laid to his final and permanent place, six feet down the ground- in the grave. During his vigil and candle lighting event, huge numbers of his fans came out in large numbers to pay final tribute to the internet sensation.
There is no doubt that Brian Chira was loved by many if we are to judge by the huge numbers that were present at the Rainbow Resort in Ruiru during his candle lighting vigil.
Today, the number of millions that has so far been raised as condolences is over 16 Millions. Unfortunately Brian Chira is no longer with us to see all this by himself or neither will he wake up even for the fewest seconds, maybe to congratulate however donated any amount of cash.
Some netizens took to the internet and questioned why should all this be happening when the soul is no longer with us. Some even quoted the new Presenter Kai’s song name ” Mtanipenda Nikifa”. Questioning why should people pretend to be good or do good things to someone when they are dead.
Even though the cash would be used to build a better house for Brian Chira’s grandmother or do any sort of business for the betterment of her life, Chira will literally have no information about the happenings. It’s however sad once more to say this societal behavior, the behaviour where many people come out and do all sort of things ranging from donated huge amount of money and doing this and that when the person is no more has been happening for long now. One comedian Eric Omondi even firmly said the large amount of money donated after Brian Chira’s death will not help the young man in any way, stating we should do this, and give flowers to people when they are alive. We are left to see if perhaps this would come to an end.
